NDIS and Thriving Kids

With current and upcoming changes within NDIS, community organisations are increasingly supporting neurodivergent children who may have access to fewer formal or funded supports than in the past.

This can place new and unexpected demands on staff, volunteers and programs.

EPIC helps organisations to build practical, sustainable inclusion practices so children can participate meaningfully and staff feel confident, not overwhelmed.

Neurodivergent Kids belong in Community Spaces

4.3% of children in NSW aged 5-14 are autistic

6-10% of Australian school-aged children have ADHD

Understanding From the Inside

EPIC combines lived experience as an autistic ADHDer in a society that often unintentionally excludes us - with professional expertise in inclusive education, program design, consultation and children’s community settings.

Who We Work With

EPIC works with people who run, lead, or support children’s community programs — including sporting clubs, creative and performing arts groups, recreational programs, and other community-based organisations. We help organisations that want to do inclusion well, but don’t always know where to start.

What We Offer

EPIC services are designed to be small, sustainable, and impactful — not fast, loud, or overwhelming.

  • A calm, supportive conversation.

A one-off 60-minute video or telephone consultation to talk through inclusion questions, challenges, or ideas, and receive tailored guidance without a long-term commitment.

  • Support to adjust an existing program.

A focused review of an individual program or activity to help you make it safer, more accessible, and more supportive for neurodivergent participants.

  • A practical check-in on how inclusive your organisation is.

A structured review of your policies, practices and environments to identify barriers to inclusion and provide practical, realistic recommendations you can actually implement.
