Practical Neurodivergent Inclusion Training for Community Programs

Build the confidence, skills, and understanding to support neurodivergent participants in real-world group environments.

Move beyond good intentions and learn what inclusion actually looks like in practice.

Creating inclusive community programs can feel challenging, especially without clear, practical guidance.

Many instructors and organisations want to be inclusive, but are left trying to work it out on their own. This can lead to uncertainty, inconsistent approaches, and missed opportunities for participation.

EPIC Inclusion courses are designed to bridge that gap.

These courses provide practical, real-world training to help instructors, coaches, facilitators, volunteers and program leaders confidently support neurodivergent participants within community group settings such as sport, recreation, and the arts.

The focus is not just on theory alone, but on what inclusion actually looks like, in real time, with real participants.

Through these courses, you will learn how to:

  • create more accessible and supportive environments

  • deliver clear and inclusive instruction

  • communicate effectively with participants and families

  • respond to challenges in a calm and practical way

  • build inclusive practices that are sustainable over time

This professional development is designed for real community environments, not clinical training, and not one-size-fits-all solutions.

These courses are designed for individuals and organisations involved in community-based programs, including:

  • program leaders

  • coaches and sporting instructors

  • creative and performing arts facilitators

  • recreation and activity providers

  • school holiday and group program staff

  • community organisations and clubs

They are suitable for:

  • individuals with little or no inclusion training

  • organisations looking to build staff confidence and consistency

  • experienced providers wanting practical, real-world strategies

No prior knowledge of neurodivergence or inclusion is required, just a willingness to learn and improve.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Erica.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher with a strong background in inclusive education, including experience in specialist support settings. I also co-lead a community-based karate program for children with additional support needs, where I train and mentor instructors in delivering inclusive, practical instruction within real group environments.

My work focuses on translating inclusive principles into real-world practice - supporting instructors, facilitators and organisations to move beyond intention and into confident, effective inclusion.

In addition to my professional experience, I bring lived experience as a neurodivergent adult and parent, which informs a practical and respectful approach to inclusion.

I specialise in:

  • inclusion in community-based programs (sport, recreation, arts)

  • instructor training and support

  • practical, sustainable inclusive practices in group settings

All training is grounded in real program delivery - not theory alone - and designed to be achievable within the realities of community environments.
